DAY 3 | Hempcrete Workshop w/ Scott McStacy

Join us for a comprehensive Hempcrete Workshop on June 14-15 and June 28-29, 2025, near Richmond, Virginia. Hosted by Hemptastic Ideas Mobile Hemp School and sponsored by Seed to Structure LLC, and Redfern Market, this hands-on workshop will explore the ancient history of cannabis and its modern commercial applications.

Mornings will feature lectures and safety briefings, followed by a full day of hands-on Hempcrete application, and concluding with evening lectures. Perfect for anyone interested in sustainable building! Lunch is included.

Redfern Market has selected a spot on their stunning 42-acre farm in Caroline County—just a short distance from Redfern Market itself—for an outdoor bathroom.

This means you'll not only be working with Hempcrete, but you'll be building a Hempcrete structure right on a genuine hemp farm!

Scott McStacy, a Charlottesville, Virginia native, began his journey in regenerative agriculture after a battle with colon cancer in 2003. He spent 16 years cultivating heirloom tomatoes at North Hills Nursery, renowned for its tomato starts and heirloom seeds. In 2019, Scott became a registered hemp grower in Virginia, focusing first on cannabinoid hemp, then transitioning to industrial and grain hemp. He attended the Miller School of Albemarle and Virginia Tech. Scott continues to innovate in sustainable agriculture and green building
